Quick Update – We’re Hard at Work on Zero Plus Improvements

Since launching the new Zero Plus earlier this month, the team has been heads-down making enhancements based on your feedback, as well as working on things we couldn’t squeeze into our initial launch timeline. You’ve told us what you like, but just as importantly, we’ve heard what you’d like to see improved – particularly from long-time Zero members.

Here’s a quick rundown of the updates we’ve pushed live recently to make meal logging faster and smarter, and a preview of what’s shipping in the next few weeks.

What We’ve Fixed & Improved (Live Now)

  • Smarter text logging: The AI is now much better at understanding context and portions. If you type “2 eggs” or “half serving,” the nutrition estimates are now far more accurate.
  • “Skipped the Fries”: The AI now respects your specific instructions on image logs. If you snap a photo of a burger but type “skipped the fries,” the app calculates the macros for just the burger.
  • Faster Responses: We’ve optimized the backend, so typing out a meal returns results significantly faster than it did at launch.
  • Better Quick Picks: Your Quick Pick list now prioritizes your most recent and popular meals, so your go-to items are right at the top. More improvements to Quick Picks coming soon (see below)
  • Camera Speed: For iOS users, the camera now launches faster and supports flash, making it easier to log in low light.
  • Custom Water Entry: You can now tap to enter a custom water amount rather than being locked into preset amounts.

What’s Coming (Early February)

We are currently testing the next batch of features designed to remove friction. Expect to see these rolling out around February 9th:

  • Barcode Scanning: We are adding a scanner so you can instantly log packaged foods without needing the AI. This will be a big improvement for generating quick and accurate input from your snacks/meals.
  • Meal Bookmarks: You will be able to save specific meals as favorites for instant re-logging. This promises to be a big improvement on the look and usefulness of our Quick Picks implementation.
  • The Ring Experience: A significantly enhanced way to track your daily progress. We’ve heard from many of you that the changes to Pillars/Rings were unexpected and felt like a step backward. We’ve taken that feedback to heart, and we’re rolling something out that we think not only addresses your feedback but also makes this entire feature much more useful than before.

Thank you for the candid feedback. We’re working hard to get the details right so you can focus on the results.

As always, I’d love to hear from you about what your likes/dislikes and desires are for Zero Plus. You can send any and all feedback directly to me at mikemaser@zerolongevity.com. I can’t wait to hear all of your thoughts (yes, I read every single email), questions, and suggestions.

Back to it!
