For the next few weeks, we’re encouraging everyone in the Zero community to come together for group fasts on Mondays. Fasting is better together, even when we’re apart, so let’s share some virtual encouragement. Here’s how to join:
- Start your timer after your last meal on Sunday
- Complete any length fast you’re comfortable with—circadian rhythm, 16:8, 18:6…all fasts are welcome!
- Share your progress and fast breakers using #FastMonday on the social channel of your choice (or here in the comments), and check out the hashtag to motivate others throughout the day.

Peter! Enjoy listening to you! Speaking of taking control during these surreal times, pretty much unbeknownst to me (as odd as that sounds), I suddenly started intermittent fasting on the eve of Sunday March 15 (16/8) and am still at it. I find it remarkably and rather incredibly easy. I have never done it before. I know a few who have and to rave reviews. Who knew this could work for me. In hindsight, I must have known that having a window in which to eat was all I needed to feel somewhat structured, to feel some semblance of control, each day of self-isolation (with family thankfully). Without it, knowing me as I do, I would have joined you in that see-food diet! I actually feel great and barely think about food during those hours before 2:30/3pm. Yeah, I’m a night eater so I start my Zero fast at about 10:30pm. Happy to be part of #fastmonday 🤗

I actually started a full day fasting yesterday. Ended with dinner at 6 p.m. A sensible dinner with protein, edamame pasta and a salad. Fruit for dessert.
An hour walk.
It’s the first day I felt in control of my eating.
I labeled this day the Conavirus diet. Instead of wearing my robe, I put on my bathing suit. That will definitely make you want to fast.

You do a 48hr each week? That’s fantastic Sheryl!!!! I’ve built up to easily doing warrior fasts daily (19-21) so will try a 24IF twice starting tonight. Hearing such extreme ideas of what length of fast is best during COV19 leaves me confused though wanting to do extended fasts????
According to Thomas Delauer and Dr Mindy Pelz, there is research that shows 17 hrs fasting is the sweet spot for the body to fight viruses. Fasting beyond g 20-24 hrs and the immune system is fighting bacteria and it also stresses the body, which at present during COVID-19 we want to minimize stress from fasting too long.

It’s a great idea! We Muslims actually have 2 days every week-which are Monday and Thursday-that we are free to fast (we don’t have to) and we actually fast from the sunrise to the sunset.

Hello to all! Before I started practicing interval fasting, until 8:16 during the year, I hunger for several years on Mondays for about 34 hours. I have only the most positive feelings from these days. I am glad to join like-minded people!

Do you do another day to fast, I like to fast at the end of a week. Friday or Saturday. I find it hard on Monday your during the week, bcuz I’m with kids all week. Easier when I’m home alone on a wknd! If anyone fasts during the wknd let me know, I’ll do it with you!!

Great idea! I’m in. Been doing 16:8s and 18:6s every day for the past 8 months. Dropped 60 lbs! BMI is right where it needs to be! Feeling super healthy and running 5 to 6 miles 3x a week. I’m sure that IF (TRF) has added years to my life!

Hi I’m from Trinidad I did 16hr,18hr now I’m doing 20 hr since yesterday at 3:30pm I set my timer ,I’m all in ..this IF is working wonders for me my weight is down big time …

Started my very first fast yesterday at 5:30 PM doing 16:8 to see how it goes.
4hrs n 15mins left of my dinner time to dinner fast, this is when I’ve felt a bit delirious in the past 2 times I’ve had a go! 🤞🏼I’ll be a little more used it today. Just downloaded this app today to help me feel connected to the hive mind 😉
I have done 9 days fasting then I did one day after that. I want to get back into the swing of things seen this yesterday and I am up for the challenge days 1-4 are the toughest days for me but I feel like I’ll have so much support from everyone joining that it’ll be a great help! I am currently fasting for 6 days, it remains one day to reach 7 days. That’s my current record. I want to double it, but I will see how I feel and maybe I will stop before 14 days. For now, I feel great. I continue to workout but softly 🙂

22 hours completed of a 36 hour fast. Reading everyone posts has motivated me to keep going and not eat the hot cross buns in the bread tin.
Hi can someone please explain to me how the feeding windows work since I am doing a 16:8 fast and I haven’t eaten is 18 hrs since I woke up late so I didn’t ate breakfast. And I don’t understand when to eat because the fast is 16hrs and a 8hrs feeding window and I don’t understand.

Ice, water, 1 scoop of chocolate Quest protein powder and 2 Tablespoons of MCT oil.

Broke it with beef broth mixed with collagen reishi mushroom cinnamon and ACV.
Now I’m cooking turkey burgers with caul flowers rice and guacamole and keifer cheese on top.
Dessert will be pumpkin seeds with melted cocoa chocolate and stevia with a glass of almond milk. #hungerylionshuntbetter

I started fasting on March 2nd. The first week was so tough. I was hungry all the time but I stuck with it because of all of the advertised health benefits that I knew were all true. The second week was quite a bit better but still difficult. The third week was the easiest so far and has been to the present date, which is now my 31st fast. I have more energy that I ever thought possible with less food?!? The fasting teas and bone broth along with this most wonderful app are life savers when strong hunger pains hit, they are I am very pleased to say are short lived and infrequent. I am all in for fasting Monday!! Stay healthy and safe everyone and “fast on”!!
